I graduated from the University of Salford with BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy in June 2014. I subsequently spent 2 years in the NHS at Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother hospital in Margate and more recently worked as a Physiotherapist under mentorship in Canada.
During my undergraduate and postgraduate years, I have gained experience in the fields of orthopaedics, respiratory medicine, general and elderly medicine, musculoskeletal outpatients and neurological inpatient and community physiotherapy.
Prior to, and during my university years, I lived in Newfoundland, Canada, where I worked as a physiotherapy assistant during my holidays.
In January 2018, I successfully completed the Canadian Physiotherapy Competency Examination which now allows me to apply for a license to practice as a Physiotherapist in Canada.
I am also a certified Pilates instructor, having completed mat work training with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute (APPI) in 2017. I have taught Pilates as a general exercise regime and also as a treatment for lower back pain. I have also completed the pre and postnatal Pilates course.
I recently completed a Kinesosports taping course, which can be extremely beneficial for acute injuries.
My main fields of interest are respiratory physiotherapy, women's health, musculoskeletal conditions and prevention of injury in the general population. In order to provide the best treatment for my clients, I use both manual techniques and provide exercise programs that are adapted for each individuals needs which have been shown to be beneficial in the long term.
I try to use my skills to take an holistic approach to treatment regimes and believe that physical fitness is an important step towards happiness.
