Extracorporeal ShockWave Therapy (ECSWT) is the application of acoustic “shock waves” in the treatment of musculo-skeletal injury. The waves are of a controlled magnitude and pass through the skin to the affected area. They have been demonstrated to have therapeutic effects such as:

A normal course of treatment will consist of three sessions with no more than a two-week gap between sessions. More sessions could be considered for chronic conditions, however in milder cases even one session may be enough.
